The Santa Barbara County Human Trafficking Task Force, a program within the County District Attorney’s office, has created a strategic plan to address human trafficking across the county. Come hear the DA share the County’s perspective on this issue, the Deputy DA discuss his field experience in human trafficking, and the Task Force chair share details of the County’s goals, plan, and action items. Also included will be a presentation by the Santa Maria Police Department and a survivor sharing her story of being trafficked, and her human trafficking awareness recommendations for community members, parents, teachers, and medical professionals.
